Our Focus
We specialize in the following key activities:
Angel Investments
We are not a fund. We are a community.
We allocate early-stage capital to support startup companies dedicated to tackling the climate crisis. By providing financial resources, we help these ventures grow and make a meaningful impact on climate change.
We coordinate early stage/growth capital for entrepreneurs who are building businesses to solve the climate crisis.
We invest two ways:
- Our members/community collaborate on due diligence but make individual investment decisions.
- Occasionally, we may invest as a group. REC may coordinate a syndicate to make it easier for a growing company to manage multiple investors, or where investors wish to go in as a collective. Still, Resilient Earth Capital members will make individual investment decisions to enter into joint terms with the group.
Capacity Building
When needed, we provide valuable capacity building and networks for our investee companies.
Early entrepreneurs typically need support in areas such as market assessment/business development/sales, governance and organizational management, and future rounds of growth fundraising, particularly climate and concessional capital.
Note: We do not raise money on behalf of companies.
Due Diligence Expertise
Our experts can support due diligence services to fellow climate investors seeking opportunities.
Whether it’s for climate investments at various stages (e.g., seed, series A, B, C, etc.) or outside our immediate network, we leverage our experience and insights to assess the potential and viability of climate-related investments, aiding other investors in their decision-making process.
Due diligence engagements are for a fee and would be outside of any direct angel investments.
Climate Finance and Fund Formation
We support new (or those entering the climate space) fund managers as General Partners by providing expertise in climate finance and fund formation.
Our services include designing and structuring climate finance vehicles that blend public, donor, or philanthropic capital as a fee for service, while attracting commercial or private capital.
Additionally, we assist in the development of investment thesis focused on specific climate areas like resilience or emerging climate technologies, helping fund managers launch successful initiatives.
